Once again North Carolina became of the most popular states where people would like to live, surpassed only by California, Florida and Hawaii.

Harris Interactive recently polled 2,694 adults. The question posed was: "If you could live in any state in the country, except the state you live in now, what state would you choose to live in?" North Carolina happened to be the 4th most desirable state to live in.

Alaska made it into the top 15 for the first time in many years.

A similar question -- substituting the word "state" with "city" -- resulted in Charlotte being in the 14th place in terms of its popularity. For the last ten years New York City has been the first place. San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco and Las Vegas are also in the top.
