Best cities to live inThe Kiplinger published a list of 25 best cities for people of different ages and life stages. Two North Carolina made the list of the best American cities in two different categories.

 

Kiplinger made a list of best cities in the following categories:

  • Best Cities for Singles
  • Best Cities for Mid-Level Professionals
  • Best Cities for Married with Kids
  • Best Cities for Empty Nesters
  • Best Cities for Retirees

Raleigh, North Carolina, is in the 4th place among the Best Cities for Singles. Raleigh offers the young single people some of the cheapest housing, a varied night life and a mixture of southern charm with the northern sense of bustle. Raleigh is one of the points of the Research Triangle.  The area also has three major colleges. All these factors contribute to the influx of the young college grads into Raleigh.

Fayetteville, North Carolina, takes the 5th spot among the Best Cities for Mid-Level Professionals. Fayetteville is revitalizing its downtown, there is a marked job growth, and the cost of living is one of the best in the country. Fayetteville also hosts Ft. Bragg and Pope Air Force Base.
