No US visa needed for former Soviet citizens PDF Print E-mail

US Visa Of course not all the former Soviet citizens can travel to the United States without a visa.  For the first time ever, three countries that used to be a part of the USSR are included in the Visa Waiver Program.

On November 17, 2008, the Department of Homeland Security announced that the citizens of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania can travel to the United States for tourism or business without a visa and stay in America for up to 90 days.  President George Bush and his administration are behind this new initiave.

The other countries added to the list are the Chezh Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and South Korea.

These countries will join the citizens of Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.  The nationals of these countries are included in the Visa Waiver Program.
