New evidence in Irina Yarmolenko murder PDF Print E-mail
Ирина ЯрмоленкоNew evidence in Irina Yarmolenko case seems to question the involvement of the two suspects.

On May 8 new evidence was submitted to the court which shows the DNA recovered at the crime scene, in particular on the items used to suffocate Irina Yarmolenko, as well as the DNA evidence from her body, do not belong to the suspects arrested earlier.

Carver and Cassada were arrested and charged with murder of Irina Yarmolenko and then were bonded out.  Currently both have to wear electronic bracelets for which they are paying and cannot leave their homes between the hours of 7 pm and 7 am.

The DA office suggests that the investigation will take perhaps one year.  In the light of the new evidence the suspects are trying to lift the restrictions currently placed on them.
