Police shared the details of Irina Yarmolenko's death.  Officials are now treating the case as a murder investigation.

During today's press conference the chief of Mount Holly PD informed that the autopsy revealed the cause of Irina's death was asphyxia.

Irina's body was found on Monday. More details in the preceding article. 

Irina moved with her parents from Ukraine to North Carolina in the early 90s.
