Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - born in Kuwait, graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, a once fighter against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan - admitted responsibility for just about all of the terrorist acts in the recent history, including the 9/11. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was born on March 1, 1965 in Kuwait. In 1986 he graduated NCA&T and moved to Pakistan, where he began his work with terrorist groups. Fought against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.

He confessed that he was the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks before a military tribunal at Guantanamo on Saturday. The Pentagon released an edited transcript of his testimony and questions from the court on Wednesday. He also took responsibility for Richard Reid’s attempted shoe bombing of an airliner as it flew over the Atlantic, the Bali nightclub bombing in Indonesia and the 1993 World Trade Center attack. He said he was also responsible for several attacks that failed to materialise. He said he had surveyed the Panama Canal for an attack to destroy as well as studied suspension bridges and high-rise buildings in New York and Chicago with the aim of destroying them. He was also involved, though partially, in an attempt on the life of Pope John Paul II while the Pontiff was on a visit to the Philippines. He also wanted to kill President Jimmy Carter. He said he was tortured during CIA interrogations.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed  said, however, that he was sorry children had been killed in the 9/11 operation. He showed no remorse and offered no apology.

Muhammed said he also wanted to bomb British targets, including Big Ben, targets in Israel, US embassies in Jakarta, Canberra and Tokyo and Israeli embassies in New Delhi, Manila and Canberra. He also wanted to attack nuclear plants on the American mainland. He also mentioned managing a cell for the production of biological weapons, such as anthrax and others, and following up on dirty-bomb operations on American soil.
