TripAdvisor, the world-largest travel community, named Outer Banks, North Carolina, the number one family beach in the United States. Even ahead of Florida beaches.

According to a TripAdvisor survey of about 400 adults with children 18 and younger, 78% of the families are planning to take a beach vacation this spring and summer.  92% of those parents are going to a family-friendly beach.

Top 10 Family Beaches in the U.S.:

1. Nags Head Beach, The Outer Banks, North Carolina. Plenty of sand for families to enjoy. Outer Banks islands are surrounded by 900 square miles of ocean. Nags Head in particular boasts the sprawling beaches, lifeguards, and opportunities to enjoy water sports.
