You might be able to buy Russian gasoline at a Russian gas station in the near future if you live in the 13 states of the U.S. East Coast.
Lukoil, a Russian oil company, is in the midst of a $35 million campaign to promote its product among U.S. consumers on the East Coast.
In the recent years, Lukoil took over about 2,000 Getty Petrolium and ConocoPhillips gas stations in 13 states. Since that time, they all continued to operate under their old name. Now Lukoil is rebranding them under its own name to save on royalties to Exxon Mobil.
