Russian planes carrying relief aid flew out to US 7 am MSK.
MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - Two Il-76 TD transport planes of the
Emergency Situations Ministry, carrying relief aid for victims of
Hurricane Katrina, will fly out to the U.S. from Moscow's Ramenskoye
airfield at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
"By agreement with U.S. officials, the Russian humanitarian aid
will be delivered to Little Rock, Arkansas," Emergency Situations
Ministry spokesman Viktor Beltsov told Interfax on Wednesday.
The first plane will carry 121 large tents weighing 29.5
tonnes, and the second one 14.5 tonnes of food rations and 4 tonnes of
blankets, Beltsov said.
